Does It Have to be Over?

I wonder if we all might meet once a month for a book club?  Any thoughts for a book we could read....new to all of us?  Or an author club?  We could choose to read a book by the same author?

Awesome and True Book Quotes

"That moment when you finish a book, look around and see that the world hasn't changed, even though your world has." - Lucy Morison  (Inspired by following quote on left)

One Last Meeting

Hi, this is Lucy. I wanted to know when our last meeting is going to be, and I hope others are wondering too.
So we can't do Monday, Mrs. Leighton won't be there. We could do Tuesday maybe. That might not work for me, but Katie can probably drive me home, so that could be doable, right? We also could do Wednesday from 4-5 instead of 3:15-4:15. That might be alright. Thursday might work and there's no after school on Friday. If none of those are possible, we could do Monday of next week maybe.
We should work this out on comments to find a good day and time for our last meeting. Is it really going to be our last one, or are we going to have another one when Taylor gets back from Florida? I think everyone should be at our last meeting, Mrs.Leighton, Reilly, Taylor, Katie, and me.
I can't believe book club is going to be over soon. It's kind of sad. We've come so far and it was a lot of fun. We are all friends now, or, at least I think, better friends than we were before. We should definitely keep blogging though. I know I will. I might even start my own book blog, start another book club when this one is over, or both!
For our last meeting, we should definitely have a little(or big!) book party. My dad offered to bring a little cake, he is an avid reader himself. We could all get a book to bring for like a "Secret Santa" sort of thing, or a book swap. It hopefully won't matter, new or used. We would have lots of fun, and we could just eat cake, do the book swap and talk about books, the club, and what we are going to do after, or just talk. That would be a great end to the most awesome book club ever!

Post comments below to discuss these ideas!(If you want) Thanks! Books are awesome!

Today Taylor, Katie, and Reilly met for book group.  Mrs. Leighton began by challenging the group to guess what they would be creating today.  Reilly won the Hangman game when he guessed the clue was "crossword!"

Next the group brainstormed themes for crossword puzzles.  Each member of book group will decide on a theme for their puzzle.  Today began the planning for the puzzle.  See below for the link.

Here is the brainstorming list:
